Back from New York, where all the networks announced their fall schedules. We're in the process of hiring writers, directors, crew, finding stage space, locking down the budget -- all the things necessary to get a series up and running.
The writers will start the day after Memorial Day, which is what I'm most looking forward to. I've already started clipping items from the newspaper, taking notes on things I hear on the radio, or ideas that come into my head. Once you start writing a television series, your mind never really unplugs -- you're always looking for a good idea for an episode, to keep the storytelling machine moving forward.
