GILLIAN, FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
Hello Frank,
A group of fans got together and started thinking up ways to promote The X-Files: I Want to Believe especially with the dvd release this December. Being inspired by Gillian Anderson not only as an actor but as a humanitarian as well, we felt compelled to promote her AMAZING performance in IWTB. She was absolutely a revelation, in this intricate work of art, we refuse to let it be overlooked.
Here is what we came up with in order to promote the film and Gillian.
Gillian Anderson "For Your Consideration" Ad Campaign

As a group of fans inspired by the talent of Gillian Anderson we seek to begin an ongoing fundraiser to raise funds to place "FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION" advertisements in the entertainment trade papers during award season in Los Angeles.
Gillian Anderson's work in The X-Files: I Want To Believe is incredibly profound and we refuse to let it be tragically overlooked by mundane and negative reviews!
Our goals:
To raise $ 1,000 USD for the Hollywood Reporter Ad= 1/8 of pg.
-Golden Globes Issue
To raise $ 1,400 USD for the Hollywood Reporter Ad= 1/4 of pg.
-SAG Issue
To raise $ 2,900 USD for the Hollywood Reporter Ad= 1/2 of pg.
-Academy Award Issue
Total needed: $ 4,400 USD
Deadline for contributions is: December 1, 2008.
Ideally we would love to meet at least $1,000 before November in order to run the first Ad then.
Worldwide contributions can be made through a secure Paypal link through our website. If we receive more funds than needed from fans for this project, then 100% of the excess proceeds will benefit one of Gillian's favorite charities.
Not only does this advertisement campaign serve to bring Gillian's name to the attention of the entertainment industry for her work on The X-Files: I Want to Believe, but it also demonstrates to Gillian how much we as fans appreciate her work. Please help us honor her.
In the past, fan driven advertisemnets have seemed like a long shot, but have proven to me successful. Remember the winning X Files 2 movie campaign that ran in the Hollywood Reporter. See the link below for that.
