THE DISCS ARE OUT THERE
Let me be one of the first to say how excited I am at the recent announcement of "I Want to Believe" on DVD and Blu-Ray. The specs and bonus features look great, just as promised! I expect the vast majority of fans will join me in going for the "Ultimate X-Phile Edition" -- if anything speaks to the affection for the fanbase, it's that. I think the inclusion of a bonus digital copy of the movie for portable media players is a great idea, and an unexpected treat. This should really be a question for the studio rather than bothering you with it, but do you happen to know what file format it will be in (hopefully .AVI)? Also, I'm guessing that the picture-in-picture commentary on the BD is otherwise the same as the audio commentary -- you didn't do two recordings, correct? Can't wait to hear it, in any event.
While ownership of a Blu-Ray player is still a distance away on my economy, I already know what my first two disc purchases will be: this and the new release of "Fight the Future" with its extra features to trump the DVD. I only hope doing so will add some small contribution to the franchise's profit margin, and increase the chances of getting another X-Files movie (or indeed Millennium!). Roll on November 24th. Come back to London for another signing!

The studio says the digital copy will be a Windows Media file (.wmv) for PCs and an iTunes file (.mov) for Macs.
