BOX OFFICE LOGIC
I have looked at IWTB box office and it says the movie has made about $65 million and that its production budget is $30 million. So that means it has made a pretty good profit right? Well if you can tell me why this franchise would not get the green light for another movie I would appreciate it.

P.S. I really loved the movie and hope so bad for another movie even if it is straight to dvd just you can finish up the mythology story.
The movie is indeed profitable, but has made far less than everyone hoped. The studio doesn't share its internal thinking with me, but I would imagine the question they need to answer is whether they think another film would be as profitable or, ideally, more profitable than this one.
