THANKS FROM BRAZIL

We, Brazilian fans from the community “Arquivo X – Brasil” (“The X-Files – Brazil), a community, with more than 24,000 members, in Orkut (a ‘relationship’ site) want to say we loved this movie.
The movie is a very good thriller, marked by a mysterious atmosphere that was alway part of the series and it preserves all the characteristics of "The X-Files," as the conflicts between a believer Mulder and a skeptical Scully, the inconclusive end (after all, will Scully cure or not Christian?), unexplained phenomena, the soundtrack was amazing and beautiful. Finally, this movie has everything that we always love in our favorite series.
Besides, the movie deals with current issues (like organs transplant and stem cell research). David and Gillian played the characters very well. They were amazing.
There are also the "Easter eggs" in the movie, like Chris Carter's appearance, the actress who played Samantha when she was a teenager, Bowman, Shiban, Gilligan and Manners’ names appearing in different moments of the movie. All of that shows that the movie was made for us, "X-Files" fans, and we are very grateful for that.
We’ve also seen that our heroes, Mulder and Scully, are still alive and operating, even after all the bad things that happened to them in the last season of the series (Mulder dismissed from the FBI, judged and condemned to the death, running away and hiding not to be imprisoned; Scully saddened for the absence of William and doing everything to protect and to support Mulder).
It’s pretty obvious how Mulder and Scully still love each other. It’s a beautiful relationship, they respect each other, besides their differences and conflicts. And the movie shows this relationship in a smart and sensible way, using an unique and smart humor.
Moreover, the script of the film makes, clearly, references to the current quandaries and anxieties that mark the Humanity, where we feel the necessity to believe something again, therefore the problems that we face (the global heating, the terrorism, the epidemics, crime) demand that we believe such problems can be resolved, but this demand an active participation of all of us so the solutions for these problems can be found.
And the film gives a great prominence, exactly, to the Faith and the Belief of the protagonists (and this seems to be, clearly, the main subject of the film), in its necessity and will believe in something. Mulder reaffirms HIS belief in the paranormal phenomena, and “even gets in conflict” with Scully for the fact that he desires, more than never, to investigate them again.
Father Joe wants to believe that his sins can be forgiven by God and acts firmly to reach such objective. scully, though, wants to believe that it is possible to save christian, in which, clearly, she projects the image of william, the beloved son who was given for adoption, and the uncertain destiny leaves her sad end unhappy.
Even the villains of the film believe they’re doing the right thing, because they want to save lives of people whom they love. Being that way, even the outlaws believe in something and they fight to obtain what they desire, even though they use of illegal, violent and criminal methods.
And that is what Humanity needs the most in the current days: to believe again, to believe in something. And that is what `X-Files - IWTB' is: Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz saying that we must believe again that it is possible to transform the reality of where we live and to build a better world for everybody.
THEREFORE, WE BELIEVE THAT `X-FILES-IWTB' IS A CURRENT MOVIE, MORE THAN EVER.
Thanks Chris Carter, Frank, Gillian, David, Mitch, Mark Snow for this amazing movie. We believe in a third movie, fourth, fifth…. It makes us hungrier for more "X-Files" movies.
