IN PERU

After what it seems to be an eternal vacation of the X world -- not because I wanted it, but because I had no choice -- I can finally write to you.
We did it! We finally saw the movie last week -- a day before of the official release -- at a special screening the Club organised for our members. Over 100 X-philes were together in the same theater. People lined up there starting at 5 p.m. -- the movie started at 8 -- and for many of us it was the first time we met each other. People kept talking about the series, their lives, the movie... everybody was anxious about it. Six years and almost one month waiting to see Mulder and Scully again, and Skinner! Let me tell you he was the surprise of the night.
After that we had a party to celebrate the movie -- we had to have one. It really was an awesome and unforgettable experience. I am including the link to the pictures. I was waiting to have more but I decided to put the ones we have so far.

(There are not too many. People forgot they have cameras till the movie was over!)

(Everybody remembered to bring a camera.)
We have good news.. the movie is NUMBER ONE in Peru, more than 41 thousand people have seen it. Many people form different cities told me that when they went to the cinema the theaters were full and there where good comments about the movie.
There is one more thing that I would like you to know. Our blog is a finalist in "The Best 20 Peruvian Blogs," a contest where people choose their favourites blogs :D by voting. We didn't expect this. It was a huge surprise when we found out.
As you can see, we have a couple of good reasons to be happy and all this wouldn't be possible if you guys didn't do this movie, so thank you for making it possible, and I am pretty sure this is not going to be the last time we will see Mulder and Scully and "The X-Files." People are waiting. You do great work: You made them want more!!!
Regards from Peru,
Gabriela
P.S. Love the smoking skull (Cigarette-Smoking Man?) and all the little details. We are still looking for more.
