FROM ARGENTINA

First of all, I would like to tell you that "I Want To Believe" has received both good and very good reviews in this country, remaining among the most viewed in its premiere week, which makes me very happy, especially after seeing the lousy reviews the film received in the rest of the world.
Honestly, I can't understand the bad reviews the movie got. Personally, I think this film is very good and mature, and even though "Fight the Future" was a feast for the fans, I consider this film to be superior in both depth and development.
I'm a filmmaker myself (a beginner), and I consider "The X-Files" as my first and main referent, both esthetically and conceptually. That's why it inspires me. Because, even though it hasn't been the hit some seemed to expect, it has been what you wanted it to be, a personal movie that brought you back to the characters you've created, and love.
I hope that the year 2012 will bring us together again in the theatres, but if this was the end of the road, I think this movie might have been the perfect closure for a saga that marked my life.
Perhaps, the only thing that I never really liked was the poster that you chose, which I believe doesn't translate the movie's grim tone. But anyway, we're talking about movies, not marketing, right?
Sincerely thankful for the film, and eagerly waiting for “Fencewalker” and whatever it is that you want to tell us next,
Cristian

P.S. Please excuseme for for my goofy English, but it comes from the movies ;-)
