FINALLY IN ITALY
Ciao Frank!
It's Francesca from Italy (I know, I know. Again.)
Only one month ago we were all in London watching, breathless, that terrific movie. I can't still believe it happened. Just. WOW!
Meanwhile, I saw the movie five times (it's not released in Italy yet). I saw it also dubbed in my language during the summer preview, I don't know if you ever heard Mulder and Scully's Italian voices, but let me say that they did a great job, particularly Claudia Catani (the actress who dubs Gillian) and all the fans really liked them.
So, during this period of time, I enjoy myself trying to catch more jokes. My list counts, today, about 50 jokes (by the way, great work, I like very much "joke hunting") but I noticed some things that I can't understand, and I'm pretty sure they are jokes because I know you and Chris ;)
For example, can you explain to me what "The Jeffersons" (or maybe only their theme song?) means when Mulder and Scully go to Father Joe's house with agents Withney and Drummy? Please Frank, it drives me crazy and I'm really curious right now. :)
During that "joke hunting" I ran into an "unexplainable phenomenon." I was checking all the dates and numbers appearing in the movie (catching stuff like 10:13 or 11:21). and I can't find your birth year! How is that possible? Is your birth's year a "real" X-File? Neither Google or IMDB knows when you're born. Is this another of those questions meant to remain unanswered? I don't hope so. :)
Seriously, let me say, once again because I think it's never enough, that most of people who saw the movie really liked it. I went to the summer preview with my sister and my mom (not "X-Files" fans) and they just enjoyed it.
You did a great job. Don't allowe anyone to say the contrary. We know you, all of you, did it especially for the fans and we really really really appreciate that! We love you for that!
I know this is a business and I don't know if XF3 will be ever produced, but I know you, as well as Chris, David and Gillian, WANT to do it. THANKS FOR THIS!
"I Want to Believe" is FINALLY coming to Italy, the 5th of September is approaching and all Italian fans can't wait to see the movie.
Inspired by Chris and his photo camera, we are trying to promote it in a new way. We are now collecting pictures of posters and billboards (or of any other commercial about the movie) that we see around us. You can see here many pictures http://www.beyondthesea.it/billboard.asp (not only from Italy) and of course, all philes around the world can send us their pictures and we'll put them online as soon as possible.
This is just our little way to say "We love you, too."
I told you I wouldn't give up.
Francesca
Ha! Thanks, Francesca. There is no great explanation for "The Jeffersons" theme song -- only that we love it, and thought it was weirdly atmospheric playing in Father Joe's apartment. As for my birthday, it's November 17, 1960 -- no presents please!
