SEE IT AT LEAST THREE TIMES
Here's why everyone should see this movie 3 times...
1st time - At the premiere so I was just in love with, well, everything about the entire day. Almost feels like a blur, didn't come away with much more than joy and I loved it.
Even if you weren't at the premiere... after all this waiting and talking we've done for all this time, it's a shocker. Can't judge it on that viewing. So must :0) go back again!
2nd time - A more critical viewing. Started to get more into the underlying subplots. No matter your thoughts the first time, you will be looking more closely at everything.
3rd viewing - LOVED IT! Seriously, I just got back from it (other audience members really enjoyed it too and they weren't 3 timers like me!) After reading everyone's views/insights/opinions on here and other XF places... I really came away thinking how great this movie was. It's deep. There's a lot to think about. Don't you just like movies that have so much going on that you have to really really pay attention to get all the subtext and stuff. I think I realized just how much I loved it during this third viewing when I noticed that the street on which the abductors were doing the surgeries was called Belleflower - the first town that the first XF episode took place in. That NAILED IT FOR ME!
Wonder what a fourth viewing will do for it???
Guess I'm going to force myself to check it out. tehe.
I can't wait for the dvd. I have so many questions now. I'm hoping we get several commentary tracks and lots of deleted scenes. Pretty please Frank!
