FEELS LIKE HOME
I was watching IWTB for the fifth time yesterday and after it was over, two newbie friends of mine (who liked it a lot) asked me why I loved it so much, besides the obvious, and the first words out of my mouth were that it felt like home.
And it does.
This movie, this show, Mulder and Scully, having them back, it feels like going home again. It's safe and comfortable, yet new and chanllanging. It's like being seventeen and tucked away in my room on a Sunday night, as I waited with baited breath for the newest episode. It's like being back in that place where everything was simpler and easier. It's like finding an old friend in the midst of a lot of new madness.
I don't know why the show has the power to make me feel the way it does, but I am eternally grateful for the nine years it gave me and the new movie that helped save me from myself.
