"VOGLIO CREDERE"
I am Italian, but I am in England studying for now. I am writing about the Italian translation of "I Want to Believe" because I've heard two different versions of it, but neither one is exactly correct.
Titles you can see on the Internet are either "Io Ci Credo" (I Believe In It) or "Io Voglio Crederci" (I Want to Believe In It). But the real and literal translation of "I Want to Believe" is "Io Ci Credo" (I Believe In it) or just "Voglio Credere" (because in Italian we can leave the subject out).
As you see, the possible title of your movie is not exactly correct, and I am not only talking about the grammar, but the meaning: If you put the poster "I Want to Believe" in front of an Italian, he'd translate it "Voglio Credere." I don't know why they want to change it when this is one of the few situations where Italian and English might be translated literally.
