"MILLENNIUM," TOO
I just want to say how much I enjoy your website and the questions and answers posted on the blog. I am thrilled especially with the number of young people who write to say that they have discovered "The X-Files." I can proudly say that I discovered "The X-Files" the night the pilot showed on our Fox channel here in Dallas-Fort Worth.
I never missed an episode, except one in the ninth season -- on purpose -- and was with it until the end. I am looking forward to the new movie and pray that my health will allow me to see it and maybe a few others in the future.
What I am writing about, however, is "Millennium." I bought the three years and decided to watch them recently. I am ashamed to admit that I chose not to watch this show when it was on television because I found Lance Henricksen to be rather unattractive. He and Megan could not compete with Mulder and Scully. Man, was I wrong! This is an awesome series, and you and Chris and Morgan and Wong should be very proud of the creativity, the history, the religion, the mystery evident in every episode. This series is what so many current television series attempt to be. I can even see the influence the third season had on your series, "Night Stalker." To me, this series was a look forward to what Mulder might have become had he stayed with the profiling division and not started his work with the X-Files.
Frank was obviously not as funny or droll as Mulder, but Mulder would not have been the same without Scully. Unlike a lot of the producers, I absolutely love the second season with all the religious mysticism. The part I didn't like was making the Millennium Group, or a part of them including Peter Watts, evil. I just love Terry O'Quinn and have since I noticed him in "The X-Files." I think he was a very strong reason season one and two of "Millennium" were so good, but I didn't like him as a bad guy.
Tell Chris he should be very proud of the quality of all his series -- I just loved "The Lone Gunmen," too. They were all wonderful and I cannot wait until I see more!
