A FAN IN CHINA
Hello, Frank! I heard that you are working on the script for the second "X-Files" movie. I'm so happy to express how excited I am!
Unlike most people who write to your website, I'm not from the United States or some European country. I come from China. I know the first episode of "The X-Files" aired in the U.S. in 1993, but I didn't have the opportunity to watch it until 2003, ten years later. I finally came across the first and the second seasons of the series on one of the Chinese TV channels. When I saw the first scene of the pilot, with a hand-wringing girl running through the woods at night, I was subtly attracted by the whole atmosphere. The more episodes I watched, the more attraction I felt. But, unfortunately, only Seasons One and Two were aired in my country. I just had to watch all nine seasons and the movie. So I did my best to find them all. And the most delightful thing is that now I've watched every single episode and the movie.
I want to tell you that you should be very proud because "The X-Files" is the best show in TV history. It contains not only the simple entertainment element, such as horror\suspense, but also something very original and creative. All in all, it is the fans' and the whole team's (writers\directors\producers\cast, etc.) honour to attach ourselves to this wonderful show.
Besides rewatching and discussing the meaning of the show, my biggest wish is that I can get a chance to watch the new "X-Files" movie in my local theater. That would be great! I am so glad that you are making it happen.
