"DREAMLAND II" SONG
This is my second letter. I understand how busy Mr. Spotnitz must be and I am forwarding this again on the off-chance that my original missive may have been overlooked.
I am a moderator at http://www.xfilesforum.net and my user name is "Purity Control." I am a 40-year old married man who is a gigging rock musician (guitarist) and I am a longtime fan of "The X-Files" and especially all of the music pertaining to the series. For me, "The X-Files" was the total package; writing, directing, cast, music, mood/atmosphere, and of course the story lines. In my opinion there has never been a better show on television in terms of entertainment the way I like it.
I am under the impression that Frank Spotnitz wrote a Season 6 episode called "Dreamland II" with John Shiban and Vince Gilligan. My question: During the scene where Mulder goes into the bar (the Little Ale'N?) there is music played on the jukebox. I have searched everywhere on the Internet and cannot find the name of the song nor the artist who performed this song! The lyrics are as such:
I have waited for what seems
Like a whole light-year
Just to see your face
Once again, my dear
Shiny brown-eyed moonlight,
Sunlight, starlight
With big dark eyes
That send me out of sight
Now I'm staring
At the stars...
(And later on in the scene, same song, more lyrics:)
In my memory you are moonlight, starlight
With big dark eyes that
Send me out of sight
Now I'm staring at the stars
Wondering where you are
Wondering if I'll ever see
Your face again
Now I'm staring at the stars
Wondering where you are...
I have reviewed the DVD credits and can find no mention of the song title or artist who performed this song, and I would really like to add this to my "X-Files" music collection! Later on during this same sequence another song appears yet the tempo is different; I believe it to be a different song entirely.
Please help, whomever reads this email. The name of this song and artist are unknown to all who participate in "X-Files"-related forums everywhere! It may be one of the most intriguing mysteries surrounding the series.
On a side note, http://www.xfilesforum.net will celebrate its one-year anniversary on May 25th. It is a great forum with a fine community of participants from all across the globe; people who still enjoy the show and are eagerly anticipating a possible second movie. Please feel free to visit our forum!

Keith, so far I have not been able to get the name of the song. I've relayed the question to the "X-Files" music supervisor, Jeff Charbonneau. If or when I get an answer, I'll post it here...
